The Battle of the Bulge

It doesn't seem to stand to reason that Canadians should be so obsessed with one particular prime minister's waistline. Put down much of the obsession to the general startlement that so young a prime minister should have succeeded in overturning sleepy Canadian politics to such an extent -- and that he is so young a prime minister.

And yet, it still stands as a point of revelative irony that the removal of the tailored suit should suddenly reveal so much more than was apparent on the surface: some of which might not be healthy for us.
